This course is designed to enhance students understanding of clinical terms and anatomical sites to improve students coding accuracy rate.
The focus is on the fundamentals of medical terminology through word structure which includes root words, prefixes and suffixes as it relates to various body systems and its organs. This approach improves students medical record abstracting skills.
The course platform is digital with 24-hour student access with download capabilities of course materials, assignments and quizzes
The scheduled weekly class lectures are conducted live via webinar with the instructor.
Medical Terminology and Anatomy Course
Students are encouraged to successfully complete this course prior to enrolling in the Medical Coding Program to enhance their understanding of the medical record abstracting process.
Students enrolled in this program and whishes to enroll in the Medical Coding Program are required to purchase additional materials / coding books and pay additional tuition for the cost of the Medical Coding Program .
Our No Refund policy applies even if students do not attend all of the lectures with an instructor. Upon written request and approval from the Program Director students have the option to enroll in a later course start date.
Returning Alumni students are granted a discounted tuition for the Medical Terminology and Anatomy course and must register via email or by phone instead of online via our website.
